Psychologist Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, the Psychologist will know or be able to do the following as a result of having taken this course...

-Explain why is it important to include joking and teasing in the definition of school violence.
-Identify three main components of bullying that make it different from regular violence.
-Discuss how teachers can ensure that students know and understand the school policy on bullying.
-Describe why it could be important to talk to students about accidents when discussing suicide.
-Identify one reason why students should always be encouraged to tell an adult when they know bullying is happening.
-Explain how situations where a student is being bullied by a teacher can be handled.
-List seven ways to prevent bullying by educating students.

The instructional level of this course is introductory, intermediate, or advanced depending on the learners clinical area of expertise.
