By the end of the course, the Psychologist will know or be able to do the following as a result of having taken this course...

-Identify two play therapy tools for children with ADHD.
-Explain two reasons why play therapy makes counseling for children more effective.
-Describe externalizing behaviors in children that make parents and teachers believe that they need counseling.
-Discuss one indicator regarding child's readiness for termination phase.
-Explain a major rationale given to the mother when explaining the need to involve her in play therapy.
-Describe what behaviors children who deny their need for structure may display.
-Identify considerations to make when play therapists engage in empathy.

The instructional level of this course is introductory, intermediate, or advanced depending on the learners clinical area of expertise.
